8000T Titanium Sponge Hydraulic Presses
Our titanium sponge hydraulic press is available in either a four-column or frame-type structure. Description
Titanium sponge is the primary raw material used in industrial titanium alloys. Characterized by its loose, porous “sponge-like” structure, it must be melted and cast into titanium ingots or bars before use. As a lightweight, high-strength material, titanium sponge can replace certain types of steel and is widely used in metallurgical and aerospace applications. Its processing relies heavily on large hydraulic press equipment, which compacts the sponge into the required electrode shapes for subsequent melting.
Our 8,000-ton titanium sponge hydraulic press is designed for efficient operation, easy maintenance, and high production reliability. To enhance anti-eccentric load performance and ensure pressing precision, the slider guide system features a large-section X-shaped guide rail. The sponge titanium electrode extrusion forming automated production line, independently developed by PDH, is one of the most advanced cold-forming extrusion systems in the industry, featuring a high level of automation and extensive integration of CNC technology. Through the press’s fully automated control system, operators can complete the entire workflow—including raw material feeding, particle size screening, color difference detection, multi-specification metering and batching, total quantity verification, mixing, material loading, electrode pressing, automatic discharging, and palletizing—without manual intervention. Sponge Titanium Electrode Block Production Process
According to the melting characteristics of consumable furnaces, the forming process of titanium sponge electrodes is divided into axial pressing (such as fan-shaped, which can be clamped into a cylinder) and radial pressing (such as waist-drum type, rectangular parallelepiped, which can be clamped into an eight-sided imitation cylinder). Its production process mainly consists of raw material handling, loading, pressing, unloading, palletizing, and other related tasks.
