Truck Chassis Frame Press
A truck chassis frame press is a type of hydraulic equipment specifically designed for hot or cold forming of automotive longitudinal beams (critical load-bearing components of the vehicle chassis). These presses are typically large, four-column or frame-type, featuring high tonnage, a large work surface, and powerful pressing force, meeting the forming requirements of large, thick, and high-strength components like these.
Description
Longitudinal beams, also known as chassis beams or floor beams, form a critical load-bearing component of a vehicle, along with crossbeams. They are typically stamped from low-alloy steel sheets. Depending on the vehicle model, longitudinal and crossbeams come in a wide variety of sizes and specifications. High-quality hydraulic presses are essential for forming large longitudinal and crossbeams in one operation.
Hydraulic presses for forming truck chassis frames can be combined with suitable dies to perform forming, punching, and stretching in one operation. They offer high stamping precision and high speed, making them suitable for mass production.

Truck chassis frame presses are commonly used in two body configurations: a multi-cylinder, multi-column hydraulic press and a frame-type hydraulic press. Commonly used presses include 2,000-ton, 2,600-ton, 3,000-ton, 3,500-ton, 4,000-ton, 5,000-ton, and 6,300-ton capacities. These presses are suitable for longitudinal beam stretching, but can also handle other sheet metal forming and straightening processes.
This article focuses on our 3,000-ton truck chassis frame press. It features a three-beam, eighteen-column structure. The three beams are welded and aged, ensuring sufficient rigidity and strength. The spacious operating area allows for easy viewing from all sides and easy mold installation and adjustment. The machine boasts a simple structure and attractive appearance. The hydraulic system utilizes an integrated cartridge system and integrated plate valves, achieving high flow rates and precise synchronization. Its simple, compact structure provides sensitive and reliable operation, facilitating troubleshooting. Furthermore, the machine has independent power and electrical systems, employing PLC control technology and an advanced “human-machine interface” control system. Centralized push-button control allows for both adjustment and semi-automatic operation.

Technical Features of 3000T Truck Chassis Frame Presses:
1. The longitudinal beam forming process experiences significant eccentric loads. An intelligent slider balancing system is employed to ensure parallelism during the pressing process of the 3,000-ton hydraulic press.
2. The equipment consists of multiple hydraulic pads. Automatic synchronization technology is employed to ensure synchronized movement of each pad during the longitudinal beam forming and ejection processes.
3. Intelligent variable frequency control technology is employed to achieve stepless control of loading and unloading speeds. Ethernet connectivity and PLC control ensure the optimal matching of loading and unloading positions and speeds with the production cycle, thereby improving production efficiency.
4. PDH’s hydraulic press for truck chassis frame utilizes a brand-new six-column, twelve-tie-rod structure. This provides superior strength, minimal deformation during operation, strong resistance to eccentric loads, and a low cost. The uniform arrangement of multiple cylinders intelligently selects which cylinders are pressurized based on product requirements, while also automatically controlling the oil pump’s on/off status. To meet the requirements of forming variable-section longitudinal beams, the press’s main cylinders can be individually controlled to ensure pressurization, resulting in high-quality longitudinal beams and achieving energy savings.

Detailed Introduction to the Truck Chassis Presses
1) Electrical Control System:
1. The hydraulic press for truck chassis frames utilizes a PLC for control, and all other major electrical components utilize internationally renowned products.
2. The deep drawing hydraulic press requires a 380V/50Hz three-phase, four-wire power supply, and a 220V/50Hz control circuit. The electrical cabinet is equipped with a leakage protector.
3. It features an independent operator panel with a movable two-hand pushbutton station. The movable pushbutton station includes two “two-hand down” buttons, an “emergency stop” button, a “standstill” button, and a “return” button.
4. The hydraulic press for automotive longitudinal and cross beams features various fault indicators, including alarms for abnormalities such as oil temperature, level, lubrication, and oil filter blockage.
5. The electrical control cabinet is aesthetically pleasing and well-sealed.

2) Lubrication System:
The lubrication system has a fault display and alarm device. The lubrication system and the main machine are interlocked. If the lubrication system malfunctions, such as an insufficient lubricant supply, the main machine will not operate.
3) Equipment Safety Measures:
1. Stop and Emergency Stop Buttons: In the event of an abnormality, press the “Stop” button to stop all operations of the stretching hydraulic press. Press the “Emergency Stop” button to stop all operations, including the motor.
2. Two-handed Operation Buttons. The synchronized downward movement of both hands has a time limit of 0.5 to 1 second.
3. A photoelectric protection device is installed on the front of the 3,000-ton truck longitudinal and transverse beam hydraulic press to prevent operators from entering the work area while the slide is in operation.
4. Slide Locking Device: When the main slide is in the upper position, press the lock button to automatically lock it. When the main slide is not in the upper position, press the lock button to cause the slide to rise to the upper position and then automatically lock. When the main slide is locked, press the release button to automatically unlock it.
5. Liquid Level Alarm: The fuel tank is equipped with a liquid level alarm, which detects when the liquid level exceeds the normal operating level and when the liquid level is too low.
7. A maintenance platform, ladder, and guardrail are located on top of the hydraulic press for the longitudinal and transverse beams to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel.
